Connections
A connection links your account to an external service, so Nebulas can call that service’s API on your behalf. It stores the permissions (also called scopes) you granted, and the credentials that go with them, so assistants, apps and knowledge imports can use the service without asking you to sign in each time.
Examples of what connections enable:
- Import documents from SharePoint or Google Drive into a knowledge base.
- Let an assistant read or send email with Gmail or Outlook, or post in Slack.
- Publish posts to an organization account on LinkedIn from an app.
- Work with your CRM, such as BottleCRM or HubSpot, or with Google Analytics, YouTube and other services. Note that not all functionalities are available. You can check the list of tools. Please contact the nebulas team for specific needs.
- Connect a custom API through an OpenAPI description or an MCP server.
Add a connection
Section titled “Add a connection”-
Open Connections from the left rail, or from your account settings.
-
In Connectors, pick the service and click Connect.
-
Select the scopes you want to authorize. Each scope is a permission on the external service, for example reading files or sending messages. Grant only what you need. At least one scope is required.
-
Sign in to the service and approve the access. You come back to Nebulas with the connection marked Connected.
Some services use an API token instead of signing in. Create a token in that service, paste it in Nebulas, and it is stored encrypted. You can revoke it at any time from the service itself.
Who uses a connection
Section titled “Who uses a connection”Connections belong to you. When an assistant or an app uses a connection, it acts as you on the external service, with the scopes you granted and nothing more. Data accessed through a connection stays private within your organization.
Review or remove a connection
Section titled “Review or remove a connection”The connections list shows each service, when it was connected, and its granted scopes. To change the scopes, disconnect and connect again with a different selection.
Click Disconnect to remove a connection. Assistants and apps that relied on it stop having access to that service until you connect it again.
